September 17, 2014

For AP Lang, I was asked to write a poem about fear. I'm turning it in today, but I wanted to share it with yall first!

"Fear.
A ravaging beast that consumes.
Always hungry, never satisfied.
Consuming of courage and resilience.
Ever present.

It carries on, growing heavier.
Weighing heavier, it drags you deep.
Deep, deeper then you'd ever thought you'd go.
Until you're consumed.

Courage, bravery, resilience;
found in the deepest part of you.
You thought you had no life left.
Light has dawned and fear cannot hide.

The weight is gone.
The Light lifts it away.
Lost in the glorious Light, no longer ensnared by fear.
Lost in the transcendence of the freeing Light.
Weightless."

God bless yall today!
