Its Independence Day! Today, we honor our country and our independence in this awesome country. However, I don't see this honor. Sure, fireworks and parades happen, people gather together and pray around meals, but what of it? WHERE is our independence? Our country was founded on Christian values, it makes us independent from other cultures. Where is our independence? Why are we no different from the rest of the world? The BEST way to show our independence is to show Christ everywhere we go. It makes us INDEPENDENT from the rest of the world, because we are DEPENDENT on Christ. We make a big fuss over this day, but don't live it out day to day. We are new beings! We are different!! We are CHRIST FOLLOWERS!!!! We gotta live like it!
